Click on the avatar (photo of you) in the top right corner of the menu bar (of the Officehours application, not this WTF section). Doing so will reveal a link to your your Profile (once your profile has loaded, click Edit Profile for more). This section, as well as your Settings section, both contain options relating to how we reach you, when you receive notifications, time zone settings, et cetera.
Categories and expertise are closely linked on Officehours. Both aim to help organize members and enable easier browsing by skills/knowledge. In time, these categories will also enable you to subscribe to varying types of content.
To add yourself to a category index, you need to add it as an area of expertise in your profile. So, go to your Officehours profile and click the Edit Profile link, beneath your profile photo. Then scroll down to Expertise.
Then type in one area of expertise and click Add. If that area of expertise already exists, you’ll see it listed in the dropdown. If it doesn’t autofill, you’ve likely added something new. As such, it goes into our moderation queue. (We review new categories daily.) Then add any other areas of expertise you want to list.
Much like expertise, you can include some “ask me” questions. These are a handy way to show learners what kinds of topics you’re best able to respond to.
To add your questions visit to your Officehours profile and click the Edit Profile link, beneath your profile photo. Then scroll down to Questions I can help with. In this area you can add up to 5 questions that, once saved, will be displayed in your profile.
Click on the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right corner of the menu bar, in the Officehours application. This area contains additional links. Under the BASICS section, near the top of this list, you’ll find a Sign out button. Click it, and you’re out.
